Charles W. Cullen, Founding Attorney

A proud Atlanta native, Charles Cullen has dedicated his career to providing exceptional criminal defense representation to clients in his community and beyond. 

Charles earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame before returning to Georgia to attend the Georgia State University College of Law. Grounded in a deep commitment to justice from the start, Charles has worked on cases with organizations like the Georgia Innocence Project and the Federal Defenders Program in Atlanta — gaining experience that shaped a practice philosophy centered on fighting tirelessly for every client, regardless of the odds.

Before founding Cullen Law in Alpharetta, Georgia, Charles spent years honing his craft at The Arora Law Firm, one of the South’s premier boutique criminal defense firms. There, he developed a reputation for sharp legal strategy and compassionate client advocacy. 

Over the course of his career, Charles has handled the full spectrum of criminal defense matters — from DUI and misdemeanor charges to high-stakes felony cases and murder defense. He represents clients in both State and Federal court. In addition to his work with Clients in Georgia, Charles has worked with Clients in many additional jurisdictions, including Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, and New York.    

Charles’ work has drawn significant media attention. His trial work has been featured on Dateline NBC, Court TV, Law & Crime, and other national outlets. In addition, he has provided expert legal commentary to outlets including 11 Alive, and The New Yorker.

A recognized leader in the Atlanta legal community, Charles currently serves as Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Criminal Law Section, has served on the Atlanta Bar Association’s Strategic Planning Committee, and has been published in The Atlanta Lawyer magazine.

Today, Charles brings those community ties as well as that wealth of experience and passion for client centered advocacy to every case he takes.
